I've had a soft spot for Cory Doctorow because of his wonderful 2001 diatribe Metacrap: Putting the torch to seven straw-men of the meta-utopia. With a Little Help is a print-on-demand book of short stories by Cory Doctorow that explores - in the manner of its publication - several different "freemium" models for turning a free, digital object into profitable and physical objects.
